Sunlight Marbles

Our business is located in Village Mokhampura, right along N.H.-8 in the Rajsamand district. This part of the country is all about stone, and Mokhampura is no different. We are surrounded by other yards and quarries. Our daily life revolves around the arrival of new blocks and the departure of loaded trucks heading to different parts of India. It is a dusty environment, and you can always hear the sound of the saws in the distance. We have been here for quite a while, and the village has grown around the industry. We spend our days out in the yard, checking the slabs and making sure the stacks are secure. It is a lot of walking on uneven ground and dealing with the elements. In the winter, the mornings are freezing, and in the summer, the heat is intense. We don't have a glossy brochure or a polished presentation. If you come by, we will just take you out to the stacks and show you the slabs. We talk about the stone in simple terms because that is what we know. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the best place to find out what is happening in the market. We are just local people running a local business, trying to do a decent job every day. It is hard work, but it is what we do here in Rajsamand. It takes a lot of patience, but we manage.
