Supreme Cement Blocks

Living and working near the Kangra Airport Gate means we hear the planes coming and going all day. It’s something you just get used to after a while. Out here in Kuthman, things move at a bit of a slower pace compared to the bigger cities, but the yard stays plenty busy. We spend most of our hours mixing cement and checking the molds for the blocks. The air is often a bit thick with dust, and there’s always a fine layer of grey on the office windows. We have a small crew, mostly local folks from around Tehsil Shahpur, and we all know how the machines act up when it gets too cold in the winter. It’s hard work on the back, lifting and stacking, but it keeps us moving. The gate to the airport is right there, so we see a lot of people passing by, though most don't stop unless they're looking for building materials. Our yard is filled with rows and rows of blocks drying in the sun. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that, just a desk and some chairs where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes the trucks get delayed on the narrow roads around here, which can be a bit of a headache, but we manage. It’s just about getting through the daily list and making sure the next batch is ready to go out. It's a steady grind, day in and day out, but we like the familiarity of it.
