Ramesh & Co.

Ramesh & Co. is a small business based out of Hatli village in the Fatehpur area. Being in a village, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, which suits us fine. We do a bit of everything here, mostly dealing with what the local farmers and residents need. It’s a family-run sort of thing. Our office is part of the main village post area, so everyone knows where to find us. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just me and a couple of relatives handling the day-to-day stuff. We might be dealing with seeds one day and hardware the next, depending on the season. It gets dusty and we spend a lot of time on our feet. The roads around here aren't the best, so getting supplies in takes some planning. We’ve lived in Hatli all our lives, so we know most of our customers by name. We don't do any fancy marketing; word of mouth is enough for us. If there’s a problem, people just come to the door and we talk it out. It's an honest way to make a living. We just keep the records in a ledger and try to make sure we have what people are looking for. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s our life and we’re used to the hard work.
