Rajendra Tea Traders

We are Rajendra Tea Traders and you can find us over Palampur ke pass. Being near Palampur means we are surrounded by some of the best scenery you could ask for. The air is different up here than it is in the plains. It’s a bit thinner and cooler. We are traders so we spend a lot of our time talking to growers and looking at different batches of tea. Our place isn't anything special to look at. It’s mostly just a warehouse and a small area where we do our paperwork. We don't have a lot of walk-in customers since we are a bit out of the main way. Most of our work is done over the phone or with people who come specifically to see us. The road leading up to us can be a bit bumpy sometimes especially after the rains. We are used to it though. We like the quiet of being outside the main town. You can see the mountains on a clear day and it makes the work feel a bit easier. We don't use any fancy technology just the old ways of checking the quality by hand and smell. It’s been working for us for a long time. We just keep at it every season. It gets a bit lonely sometimes but the peace is worth it. We just open up early and stay until the light fades. That is basically all there is to our daily life here.
