Kaffeine

Up here in Mcleodganj, things move at a different pace than down in the plains. We are located right on Temple Road, tucked in with Bella Heights. Most mornings, the mist is still hanging over the road when we start setting things up for the day. It’s a busy stretch of road, especially with people heading toward the temple, but inside the cafe, it’s mostly just the sound of the machine and people talking. We’ve been here for a bit now, just doing our thing. The street outside is usually full of tourists and monks, and you can hear the bells and the traffic all day long. It gets a bit chilly in the winter, so we spend a lot of time making sure the place feels okay for whoever walks in. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the spot on Temple Road where you can sit for a while. Usually, the afternoons are the busiest when everyone is looking for a place to get out of the sun or the rain. We just try to keep the tables clean and the coffee hot. It’s a simple life running a place in Dharamshala. You see the same faces after a while, locals and people who decided to stay for a month. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in. There’s always someone looking for a seat and a bit of quiet.
