Twin Star Engineering

Twin Star Engineering is located at 2, Thiruneermalai Road in Pammal. We are a small engineering shop, mostly doing fabrication and some repair work when local people bring stuff in. It’s a bit of a noisy environment with the welding and the grinding going on most of the day. The shop is basically a large garage space where we keep the lathes and the welding kits. We started out with just a couple of machines and slowly added more as we could afford them over the years. Pammal is a busy area and being on Thiruneermalai Road means we see a lot of people passing by our door. Most of our work comes from word of mouth. Someone needs a bracket made or a piece of metal cut to size, and they come find us. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. We wear overalls and our hands are usually stained with oil or metal dust. It’s just how it is. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because a tool breaks or the material is tougher than it looks. We just deal with it and keep going until it is done. We have a small desk for the paperwork, but it's usually buried under technical drawings and metal rulers. People know they can just walk in and ask if we can fix something. We try to be helpful. It’s a simple life, just making things and fixing things in our corner of Pammal.
