Sri Sathya Narayana Modern Rice Mill

Our rice mill is located at number 23 on Nettri, along the Vellore Road in Sriukaveripakkam. It’s a place where there’s always something going on, especially during the harvest seasons. Sri Sathya Narayana Modern Rice Mill is where we process the grain, and you can usually smell the rice from the road before you even get to the gate. It’s a bit of a dusty environment because of the hulls and the milling process, but we’re used to it. The machinery is loud, and we have to shout a bit to be heard over the hum of the motors. We spend our days loading sacks and keeping an eye on the quality of the rice as it comes through. It’s physical work, and by the end of the day, we’re all pretty tired. The location on Vellore Road is good for the trucks that come in to pick up the finished bags. We don't have a fancy front office; usually, the manager is just sitting at a small desk near the entrance. We’ve been in Sriukaveripakkam for quite a while now and most of the farmers around here know us by name. It’s a straightforward business. We take the raw grain and turn it into something people can eat. There’s no secret to it, just keeping the machines maintained and working hard. The sun gets hot on the tin roof, but we keep the fans going. It’s a living and we just do it.
