This is Sathya Colours Pvt Ltd. We are based at No.9 Sigamani Street, which is in the Sivasankar Nagar area near Nagalkeni in Chromepet. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of other small businesses around us. Our workshop is usually full of activity from the moment we open the shutters. We work mostly with dyes and different coloring agents. The floors are rarely clean because something is always being mixed or moved. It’s just the way it is here. We have a few machines that have seen better days but they still get the job done if you know how to talk to them. The staff is local, mostly guys from the neighborhood who walk to work. We don't have any big corporate meetings or anything like that. We just gather around the main table in the morning and figure out what needs to get done for the day. Sometimes there is a lot of paperwork to deal with, which none of us really likes. We’d much rather be out there handling the products. The Nagalkeni area is known for this kind of work, so we fit right in. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, especially when there is a deadline. We try to keep things moving as best as we can without overcomplicating everything. It’s just a regular business trying to stay afloat and do things right for the people who buy from us and need our products.
