Saint - Gobain Glass India Ltd.

Our place is out at the World Glass Complex in Sriperumbudur. It’s a massive area and can get quite hot during the middle of the day. Working at Saint - Gobain Glass India Ltd. means you get used to the scale of everything around here. The complex is pretty far out from the main city, so most of us have a long commute every morning on the bus. The walk from the main gate to the office takes a few minutes, and you see a lot of activity along the way with trucks coming in and out. We spend our time managing the different tasks that come with being in such a large facility. It’s not like a small neighborhood shop; everything here feels bigger and more spread out. The office is mostly functional, with a lot of light coming through the windows. We have a cafeteria where we all eat lunch together, mostly talking about the cricket score or the traffic on the highway. There’s always some noise from the machinery in the distance, but you stop noticing it after a while. We have a lot of safety rules to follow, so there is a lot of checking and re-checking files throughout the day. It’s a serious environment, but we still have a laugh now and then in the break room. We just focus on getting our part of the job done right and keeping things moving. It’s a lot of work, but we have a good group.
