Jpsp Mart

Jpsp Mart is situated at 2/31, South Raja Street in Alandur. It’s a narrow street and things can get pretty tight when people are out shopping. We have a lot of local folks who stop in every single day for their basic needs. The shop is small and we’ve had to learn how to use every inch of space we have. We keep the inventory on the shelves tucked away in the back and under the counters. The floor is old tile and it has a few cracks here and there, but it’s sturdy enough. Alandur is a lively neighborhood and there is always something going on right outside our door. Sometimes the neighbors bring us tea in the afternoon while we are stocking the shelves. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for a long time and people know who we are. The morning shift is usually the busiest when everyone is heading out to work or school. We try to keep things simple and just focus on making sure the shelves aren't empty. It’s a modest place but it’s our place, and we enjoy being part of the South Raja Street community. We’ve known some of our customers since they were kids, which makes the work feel more like a part of the neighborhood.
