At Birlasoft, we are based out of Plot No3 in Vgp Colony, specifically in the Srinivasa Nagar North area of Rajakilpakkam. Chennai is a big place, but this little corner has its own feel. Being here in the 600073 zip code means we are a bit away from the main city chaos, which is actually quite nice for getting things done. The office is set up simply. We have the usual desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and plenty of coffee mugs scattered around. It’s a real working environment, not some polished showroom. Most of us have been coming to this same plot for a long time. You get to know the neighbors and the local shops where we get our lunch. The weather in Chennai can be a bit much sometimes, but the fans keep things moving inside. We don’t spend a lot of time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders. Instead, we just focus on the projects on our screens. There’s a lot of back and forth between the staff, figuring out problems and making sure everything is on track. It’s a humble setup, but it’s where we do our best thinking. We like the quiet of Vgp Colony. It feels more like a community than just a business district. Every morning, we unlock the doors and start the computers, ready for another day at Plot No3. It’s just us, working hard in Rajakilpakkam.
