Out in St. Thomas Mount, specifically in Nazarathpuram, we have been running Bharat Refrigerations for a long time. Our address is 35/A. It is not some shiny new showroom you might see in a mall. It is more of a real workplace where we actually get our hands on cooling systems and various parts. Refrigeration is a tricky business because there are so many small components that can go wrong at any time. We spend a lot of our hours looking at compressors and coils. The shop floor is usually covered in tools and copper tubing. It gets incredibly hot here in Chennai, so we are always very busy when the summer months hit. We do not have a lot of time for unnecessary talk. People call us because their equipment is not cold anymore, and we try to help them out as quickly as we can. The building itself has seen better days, but it is sturdy and it holds all our heavy equipment just fine. We have a few guys who have been working with us for over a decade. They know these machines inside and out. We do not use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to people. We just explain what needs fixing and get to work. It is a lot of manual labor, hauling heavy units around and testing for leaks in the pipes. It is a steady pace of work.
