Bala Agro Farm

Down here at 235 Gandhi Road in Sriperumbudur, things are usually moving at a steady pace. We deal with agro farm stuff, so we are often looking at seeds or equipment throughout the day. The road outside can get quite dusty with all the trucks passing through toward the industrial zones, but our place stays relatively calm once you step inside. We have a fair amount of space here for storing what we need. Sriperumbudur has changed a lot over the years, becoming much more built up, but we still focus on the farming side of things. The office is a basic room with a big table where we spread out the charts and schedules. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the porch and wait for it to come back. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We spend a lot of time talking to local growers who come in from the surrounding villages to see what we have. It’s not a polished environment; there are usually some boots by the door and bags of samples leaning against the wall. We know the local climate well and how it affects the crops, so that's usually the main topic of conversation around here. It’s a simple life on Gandhi Road and we like it that way.
