Shri Bhagwan Rice Mills

Shri Bhagwan Rice Mills is out on Asophar Road in the Pharion area. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town but we like it out here. There’s more room to breathe and plenty of space for the rice to be stored. The building is simple, just concrete and metal. We don’t have air conditioning so it gets pretty warm in the summer months. We just keep the big doors open to let the breeze in. We’ve been working this land and this mill for quite some time now. Everyone in Pharion knows us. We aren't interested in being a big corporation. We just want to do our job and go home to our families at night. The machines we use are old but we take good care of them. They’ve been reliable for us over the years. We see a lot of the same farmers every season. It’s nice to catch up and see how their families are doing. We don't use any complicated systems for our work. It’s all very basic. We write things down in notebooks and keep them on a shelf. If you come by, you’ll probably find us covered in a bit of dust. That’s just the nature of working at a rice mill. We don’t mind it. It feels like real work.
