You can find us at House Number 2 on Bishnupath, right near Choramara Charali. It's a bit of a tucked-away spot in Guwahati, but we like it that way. We deal with tea, just like many others in this part of Assam. It isn't a glamorous job. Most days are spent checking on orders or talking to people about the transport. The traffic in Kamrup can be a nightmare, so getting anything in or out usually takes longer than we'd like. We’ve got a small team here. We aren't looking to change the world, just trying to keep the business running. Some of the furniture in the office is older than I am, but it still holds up. We don't use big words or have meetings that last for hours. We just talk over a cup of chai and figure things out. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it is dead silent. That's just how the tea business goes. We have a lot of crates piled up in the back. It gets dusty and the humidity in the summer makes the air thick. But this is where we work and we are used to the rhythm of the place. Just a regular bunch of people trying to get things done. We don't have fancy titles, we just do whatever needs to be finished before the day ends.
