Leaping Frogs Play School

Leaping Frogs Play School is tucked away in a spot that has a lot of names like Gandhi Nagar and Narengi Tinali. If you are looking for us, we are near Birkuchi No.2 and Udayan Vihar on the Sat Gaao Road here in Guwahati. It is a play school, so as you can imagine, it is never really quiet during the day. We have little kids running around, playing with blocks, or drawing on paper. The building is basically a converted house, which makes it feel a bit more like home for the small ones who are away from their parents for the first time. We have a few rooms set up with toys and mats. The yard outside is where they go when the weather is nice, though in Guwahati it can get too hot or too rainy pretty quickly. We spend a lot of time just watching over them and making sure they are safe while they play. The staff here are mostly women from the local neighborhood who like being around children. We don't have a big corporate office or anything; it is just us managing the daily routine. Parents from Gandhi Nagar and nearby areas drop their kids off early in the morning before they go to work. It is a bit chaotic sometimes, especially at pickup time when all the cars and rickshaws arrive at once on Sat Gaao Road, but we make it work somehow.
