Lalithaditya Public School

Over on the other side of the river in North Guwahati, you’ll find Lalithaditya Public School. We are in the Amingaon part of Kamrup, which is a bit quieter than the main city of Guwahati. The school sits in an area that feels a bit more rural, with more trees and open spaces around. The building is a plain, two-story structure with a flat roof. We have a decent-sized yard where the kids can run around, which is something we are glad for. The rooms are large enough to let the air circulate, which is important during the hot months. We have a lot of windows that look out onto the greenery of Kamrup. It’s a simple setup—rows of desks, a blackboard at the front, and a cupboard for supplies. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy brochures to hand out. Most of our students come from the families living in Amingaon or nearby villages. The teachers often walk or bike to work. We spend our time checking homework and making sure the kids understand what they are reading. It’s a slow and steady kind of life here. We don't rush things. We just provide a place for the kids to spend their day and pick up some knowledge. It’s honest work, and we are happy to be doing it in this part of the district. We stay busy with the basics.
