Ekikrit Krishi Vikas Kisan Producer Company Limited is located right in Village Anarad. We use Kalyan Singh’s house as our main spot. He’s the son of Darbar Singh, so if you ask anyone in the village, they can point you to the right door. We are a small company of farmers who wanted to do something together. There is no big sign or a lobby. We usually meet on the veranda or under the trees in the yard. It’s all about integrated agriculture development, which sounds complicated but mostly means we try to improve how we farm in this village. We talk about the soil, the water, and how to get our produce to the bigger markets. Anarad is a small place where everyone knows everyone’s business anyway. We don't have official uniforms or corporate manners. It’s just a lot of talk about the weather and the price of diesel for the tractors. Sometimes we have tea and spend hours just planning the next harvest. It’s a slow process building something like this from the ground up. We do the paperwork on a small desk inside Kalyan’s house when the sun gets too hot. It is a practical way of working that fits our life in the village. We just want to see the local farmers doing a bit better every year through our collective efforts here.
