Nagarjun Pharmaceuticals is located out on the Kalol-Katraj Highway. We are in the Kalol GIDC area, which is pretty much what you’d expect from an industrial zone. It’s dusty and there are trucks moving around all the time, making a lot of noise. Being near Ahmedabad but a bit further out means we have a bit more space, but the commute can be a bit of a grind for some of us every morning. The highway is always busy, day and night. We’ve been here for a while, and the facility has seen its fair share of use over the years. It’s a practical place, not something built for looks or to impress people. We spend our days mostly looking at production schedules and making sure the machinery is doing what it’s supposed to do. There’s always a faint smell of something industrial in the air, but you stop noticing it after the first ten minutes. It’s a serious environment because of what we do, but we still have a laugh during lunch breaks. We have a small canteen area where everyone gathers to eat. It’s nothing special, just a place to sit for a minute. The GIDC has its own rhythm that you get used to. You see the same faces every day at the gate. We just keep our heads down and get the batches done. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside, but it’s what we do. We don’t really bother with much else besides the daily production list.
