You can find Dharadevi Organic Agriculture Producer Company Limited over in Madingpadar, which is in the Bhawanipatna area. We are located at Bansiraj Majhi’s place. It’s a small operation, mostly focused on organic agriculture. Kalahandi is our home and we’ve been working in these parts for quite some time. We don't have a big staff or a fancy office building. It’s just a few of us trying to keep things running smoothly. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people in the village. Dealing with agriculture means you are always at the mercy of the seasons. Some years are better than others, and you just have to take the good with the bad. We don't go in for all that corporate talk you see in the cities. We just speak plain English and get to the point. The office at Madingpadar is where we do all our planning and record-keeping. It can get pretty busy during the harvest time. We try to stay organized, but sometimes things get a bit chaotic when everyone is trying to get their stuff moved at once. We like being part of the local scene here in Orissa. It’s a hard-working community and we are proud to be a part of it. We don't have any big secrets to our success, we just show up every morning and do what needs to be done. It’s as simple as that. We hope to stay here for many more years.
