Bada Devi Plus Two Science College Private Limited is located in Borda, which is in the Kalahandi district. We are set up at C/O. Kheja Luhura’s place. It is a quiet area, which is actually pretty good for a science college. When you are trying to learn physics or chemistry, you don’t want too much noise outside the window. We have the usual classrooms and labs you would expect for plus two students. The students come from the local villages and nearby towns in Odisha. Some of them travel quite a bit to get here every morning. We see them carrying their heavy bags and lab coats. It reminds us why we opened this place in the first place. There weren't enough options for science students right here in Borda. We don't have any fancy bells or whistles. It is just about the books, the teachers, and the experiments. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just how things are here. We spend our days making sure the schedules are followed and the students are actually picking up what is being taught. It is a simple life centered around the academic calendar. From the start of the session to the final exams, there is always something to do. We are just trying to provide a decent place for kids to study science without having to move far away.
