Parikshita Tiger +2 Science College is situated in Khariar, in the Nuapada district. The address is Nuapada 766107. It’s a bit of a distance from the main cities, which makes it a quiet place for a college. The name sounds a bit unique, but we are just a regular science college for students doing their +2 studies. The building is basic, made of concrete and painted a simple color that has faded a bit. We have labs for physics and chemistry, but they are pretty standard, nothing like what you see in the big universities. Just tables, some glassware, and the usual equipment needed for experiments. The students here are mostly from the local area. They come in every morning, some by bus and some on foot from nearby villages. We don't have a huge staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. You might see a teacher helping with office work or someone fixing a broken chair in the hall. It’s that kind of place. The weather in Nuapada can be tough, especially when it’s dry and hot, but we have fans in the classrooms. We spend our days following the syllabus and getting through the practicals. There’s a small space outside where the students can sit during their breaks to talk. It’s not fancy, but it serves the purpose for the people living in and around Khariar. We’re just here doing our job and helping the kids.
