Sangam Hello Kids

Tucked away in Mahatma Basaveswar Colony, near M G Road in Gulbarga, is where we are. Sangam Hello Kids is a small place where we look after the little ones during the day. The building is quiet because it is not right on the main road. We have a few rooms filled with toys and small chairs. Most of our days are spent singing songs or helping the kids with their drawings. It’s not a very formal environment because they are so young. We try to keep a routine so the children know what to expect when they come in. The teachers here are very patient, which you have to be when you’re dealing with toddlers all day long. We have a small outdoor area where they can play when the weather isn’t too hot. Gulbarga can get quite warm, so we spend a lot of time inside where it's shaded. Our staff is mostly women from the neighborhood who enjoy working with children. We don't have any big slogans or marketing materials. Parents usually just stop by to talk to us if they are interested in enrolling their child. It’s a very local, family-oriented feel here. The walls are decorated with whatever the kids made last week, and there’s usually a bit of noise coming from the play area. We keep the floor clean because the kids spend so much time sitting on it. It is just a normal, everyday preschool for the local families. We focus on simple things like snacks.
