Maharani Primary School

Our primary school is over on the Ring Road, specifically near the Bulaand Parwaz School area in Gulbarga. It’s a place for the younger kids to start their education. We have small chairs and desks that fit them. The walls have some drawings on them from past projects. We try to make sure everyone follows the rules, though little kids can be quite energetic. The morning starts with a line-up for prayers and then everyone goes to their rooms. We teach the basics like reading and counting. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have high-tech gadgets in every room. Usually, it’s just a chalkboard and some notebooks. The teachers live nearby so they know the families well. During recess, the noise level goes up quite a bit. We have a small area where they can run around. Sometimes the gate needs a bit of oil because it squeaks. We just focus on making sure the children are safe while their parents are at work. Gulbarga can get quite dusty, so there’s a lot of cleaning to do every day. We’ve been here for a while and most people in the neighborhood know where we are. It’s a humble place but we do what we can with what we have. Most of the parents work nearby so they drop their kids off on their way to the market or office.
