Matru Chaya Pre Primary School

Matru Chaya Pre Primary School is tucked inside the Manik Prabhu Colony in Kalaburagi. We are located off Udnoor Road, which is a fairly easy place to get to in Gulbarga. Since we are a pre-primary school, our days are filled with the sounds of very young children. It’s a small place, which is better for the little ones who are just starting out away from home. The 585102 area is where most of our students live. We have a few rooms set up with toys, charts on the walls, and small tables. It isn't anything like a big institution; it feels more like a community center for kids. We spend the morning hours doing basic things like singing songs, learning the alphabet, and having snacks. The staff here are mostly local women who have a lot of patience. We have to keep an eye on everything, from messy shoes to making sure everyone gets their water. The building is simple and we try to keep it colorful so the kids feel comfortable. It’s a quiet colony for the most part, so the children can play without too much noise from the main road. We just open up early, wait for the parents to drop the kids off, and spend the day looking after them until it's time to go home in the afternoon. It's a simple, busy life here.
