The Corn Mill is situated in Panukudi, which is part of Kakinada. It is an old-fashioned kind of place. You can hear the machines running from a distance when you are walking down the road. We have been grinding corn here for a long time. It’s a dusty job, and we all go home with flour on our clothes at the end of the day. That is just how it is. The building is made of sturdy stone and metal. It gets hot inside when the mill is at full speed. We don't have a fancy office. Most of our time is spent on the floor, making sure the grain is moving correctly. Panukudi is a quiet area, so the sound of the Corn Mill is a constant background noise for the neighbors. They don't seem to mind. We aren't a big corporation. It is just a local business that serves the people around Kakinada. We take in the raw corn and process it. There’s no marketing team here. We don’t even have a logo, really. Just the name Corn Mill painted on the side. We rely on the farmers bringing their crops to us. Sometimes the harvest is good, and we are working day and night. Other times, it’s a bit slower. We just take it as it comes. It is hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve been in Panukudi for generations, and we don't plan on moving.
