Prathibha Residential School

We are located right on NH-1 in the Markanda area of Shahabad, which is part of Kurukshetra. Since we are a residential school, the building is home to a lot of people throughout the year. Being on the main highway means there is always a bit of a hum from the trucks and cars passing by. The campus is spread out with the dorms and the classrooms in different sections. We have some green space and trees around the perimeter, which helps block out some of the road noise. Shahabad is a smaller town, so things are a bit slower here than in the big cities. The kids live here full-time, so we have a kitchen that stays busy from early morning until dinner. The staff also lives nearby or on-site, so there is always someone around. In the winters, the fog around Kurukshetra can get really thick, and you can barely see the main gate from the office. We just keep the heaters going and stick to the schedule. It’s a simple life for the students, focusing on their studies and their daily chores. The buildings are functional and we keep them in good repair as best as we can. It’s not a fancy place, but it provides everything needed for a place where children live and learn. We have been at this spot for a good while now, and it is our normal daily life.
