Ashapura Mine Chem Ltd.

Our place is out in Village Baraya, at number 467. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but that’s where the work is. Ashapura Mine Chem is all about the earth and the minerals we get from it. It’s dusty work, and you won’t find any of us wearing white shirts for long. We’re mostly out in the field or in the processing area. The village is quiet, which is a nice change from the big cities like Mumbai or Ahmedabad. We’ve got a lot of local guys working with us. We’ve been part of this landscape for a long time now. There isn't any fancy corporate headquarters here, just the labs and the storage sheds and the machinery. We deal with chemicals and minerals every day, so we have to be careful and pay attention to what we’re doing. It’s a serious job, but we still find time to sit in the shade and have a break. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. The minerals speak for themselves, really. People who need what we mine know where to find us. We just focus on getting the quality right and making sure the trucks can get in and out of the village without any trouble. It’s a simple life out here in Baraya, and we’re quite content with the way we do things. We don't need any big city lights to feel like we're doing something good.
