Borah Bricks

You can find Borah Bricks over on Shanti Path, just off Jail Road in the Tarajan area. We are located near the 6th Mile Primary School, so we hear the kids playing during their breaks. It’s a nice enough spot to work every day. We’ve been making bricks here for years, and most of our neighbors know us. It’s a dirty job, no doubt about it. We’re usually covered in dust or mud depending on the season. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on people seeing our yard and stopping in. The work is repetitive—shaping the clay, letting it dry, and then firing it in the kiln. It takes a lot of patience and physical strength. Sometimes the wood for the fire isn't as dry as we'd like, which makes for a long day. We aren't trying to be the most famous brickyard in the state. We just want to keep the business going and help out the local builders. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We take breaks together and talk about the local news. Sometimes the trucks get stuck if the path is too muddy after a heavy rain, and we all have to go out and help.
