Sagar Coffee House

If you find yourself near the Clock Tower or the Ghanta Ghar area, you will probably walk right past Sagar Coffee House. We are tucked in there quite close to the Durga Mandir, so there is always a lot of activity nearby. You can hear the temple bells throughout the day, which becomes a sort of background noise you eventually stop noticing. Our place isn't very big, but we make use of every inch of space we have. The floors are a bit worn from all the feet coming in and out, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. We get all sorts of people stopping in, from shopkeepers taking a break to folks who have just finished their prayers. It is a lively spot to be in. Working at the Clock Tower means we are right in the heart of things. We started out small and stayed that way because it works for us. The smell of the coffee hits you the moment you step off the street. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us making sure everything is handled right. It gets crowded during the festivals, but we manage to keep the pots full and the tables clear. That is just life in this part of town, and we wouldn't have it any other way. It keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
