Saawariya General Store

Our shop is located in Soyla, right near the big pani ki tanki. If you are standing at the bus stand, you can see us easily. It is a busy corner in this part of Jodhpur district. The sun gets really hot here, so the shade from our roof is a relief for some people waiting for their bus. We keep all sorts of general items that a family might need. We have things for the kitchen and also stuff like pens or small toys for the kids. The water tank is a good landmark for people who are not from around here. We have seen the village change a bit over the years, but the bus stand stays the heart of it. The floor is made of old stone, and it stays cool in the summer months. Sometimes the dust from the road blows inside, so we are always dusting off the packets. It is just a small business run by the family. We do not have a website or anything like that. If someone needs something, they just shout from the road or walk in. We know most of the drivers who pass through daily. It is a steady kind of life. We open up the shutters early before the first bus arrives from Jodhpur city. We just stay here until it gets dark and the crowds thin out. It is a good spot to be for a shop like ours.
