Rajan Bricks

Rajan Bricks is based out in the village of Rajasani, specifically in the Bera-Hokariya area. Our post office is Binjawariya, and we fall under the Osian Tehsil. It is a very rural setting, which is perfect for what we do because we need a lot of space for the brick kilns and the drying area. The air is different out here, and the work is tied directly to the land. We spend our days working with the local soil and the fire to make the bricks that go into building houses in the surrounding villages and nearby towns. It’s a very physical job, and we are usually covered in dust and soot by the end of the shift. We don't have a city office; our workplace is the field itself and a small shed for keeping our tools and daily records. The rhythm of life in Osian is slower than the big cities, but the work is just as hard, if not harder. We have to watch the weather closely because rain can really mess up the raw bricks before they are fired in the kiln. Everyone in the village knows who we are, and we often have people stopping by just to chat or check on their orders. It is a simple atmosphere where everyone knows their job and chips in. We use tractors to move things around the yard, and you can always hear them running in the background. It is just what we do here in the village.
