Ganesh Handicraft

We are located at 84-85 Nai Sarak. If you know the area, you know it’s always busy with people and carts moving up and down the road. Ganesh Handicraft has been tucked into this spot for a good while. Our space is filled with all sorts of things that have been made by hand. It’s not like a modern store where everything is in plastic boxes. Here, things are stacked on wooden shelves and sometimes even on the floor if we run out of room. The walls are a bit stained and the light isn't always the brightest, but it’s our workplace and we’re comfortable in it. We spend our days checking the items that come in and making sure they are wrapped properly so they don't break. It’s a lot of bubble wrap and tape. The noise from Nai Sarak is constant, with people shouting and horns honking, but it becomes like background music after a few years. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the handicrafts are handled right and that we keep the business running another day. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes the shop feel very small, but we just keep the doors open and keep working. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’re just glad to be part of the life on this street. It's just us doing our thing.
