Funfizz Fountain Soda

You can find us right on Ashok Nagar Main Road, not too far from the Charak Hostel in the Mullatalai area. It’s a busy stretch of road with a lot of students and people passing through. We set up Funfizz Fountain Soda because there was a need for something simple and cold in this part of town. Our shop isn't very large, but we make use of the space we have. Most days it is just a cycle of cleaning the equipment and making sure the CO2 tanks are full. The heat in this area can get pretty intense, so we stay busy when the sun is out. We don't use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just serve soda. People from the hostel come by often, and we know most of their faces by now. It’s a bit of a noisy spot with the traffic on the main road, but that brings in the people. We’ve had some issues with the plumbing once or twice, like any old building, but we fix it and keep going. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just us behind the counter. We like being in Mullatalai. It feels like a real community. We keep the prices steady so it’s easy for the students to buy something. It's a basic business, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be anything we are not. Just a local shop.
