We spend a lot of time here at House No.20B in Indra Colony. It’s right across from the Mahamandir Railway Station, so we hear the trains coming through Jodhpur all day. It’s a busy spot near Nagori Gate Road. Most days, we are just sitting at the desks or looking at floor plans for houses. People come in and talk about how they want their rooms to look or where the kitchen should go. We’ve been at this for a while now. It’s not just about the big buildings but the small interior bits too, like choosing tiles or where a window fits properly. Sometimes the office gets messy with rolls of paper and samples everywhere. We just try to get the drawings right so the builders know what to do on-site. Jodhpur has its own style of building, and we try to keep that in mind when we are sketching. It’s a bit of a process, starting from a blank page and figuring out the walls. We take our tea breaks and then get back to the computer screens or the drawing board. It's a lot of measuring and re-measuring to make sure things fit. Being so close to the station means there is always people moving around outside. It feels like a real part of the town here. We just keep working away on the next project that comes through the door.
