Anarkali Dresses

Our little shop, Anarkali Dresses, is tucked away in Tailor Gali, right inside Tripoliya Market. If you’ve ever walked through Tripoliya, you know how many lanes there are, but Tailor Gali is where a lot of the real work happens. We’ve been in this narrow lane for years. It’s not a big place at all. In fact, if three people stand inside at once, it feels pretty full. We have our sewing machines and piles of fabric everywhere. The light isn't always the best, so we use some extra lamps to see what we’re doing. It’s noisy with all the other tailors around us, but it’s a friendly kind of noise. We know everyone on the street. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when the shop gets too hot in the summer. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people walking by or hearing about us from their neighbors. It’s a humble way to work, but it keeps us busy from morning till night. Most days we are just buried in work, trying to finish things on time. The market is a hectic place, but once you get into our lane, things feel a bit more personal. We just focus on the clothes and making sure they look right before they leave the shop. That’s our life here in the Tripoliya Market area. We just keep sewing every day.
