We are based over in Kolkata, right at 1/424, Gariahat Road in the Jodhpur Park area. It is a pretty well-known part of the city, not too far from the Lake police station. Our work is all about helping restaurants with different services they might need to keep their kitchens running smoothly. It involves a lot of coordination and talking to different managers throughout the day. The office we work out of is in an older building, which we actually like because it has a bit of character to it. Being in this neighborhood is great because there is so much food around. You can step outside and smell everything from the street vendors to the more established cafes. We are not a large agency with a lot of fancy talk. We are just a few people who have been in the food industry for a long time. Our mornings are usually spent on the phone, and in the afternoons, we are often out visiting various restaurant sites. Kolkata is a city that loves its food, so there is always something going on. Sometimes the work keeps us late because the restaurant world is always active. The traffic on Gariahat Road is usually a mess, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We do not have any glossy brochures or a big reception desk. It is mostly just desks, computers, and quite a few empty tea cups.
