About Balaji Tiles Marble & Construction – Building & Construction Material in Jhunjhunun
If you ever drive down the Jaipur Sikar Road, you might see us near the Riico Circle. We are tucked into Ward 11 in Kissan Colony. It’s a loud spot because of all the trucks going past, but you get used to the sound after a week or two. The yard is full of heavy marble slabs and crates of tiles. My back usually aches by the end of the day from moving things around. Marble is heavy, much heavier than it looks in those shiny magazines. We spend a lot of time sorting through the stock. Sometimes a piece breaks during shipping and we have to put it aside. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when a new delivery arrives and there’s nowhere to put it. The dust from the stone cutting gets on everything. I keep a broom handy but it feels like a losing battle. Local builders come in and out all day, talking about their projects and complaining about the price of cement. We listen and show them what we have on the floor. It’s a practical business. We don’t have a fancy showroom with lights. It’s just a warehouse with a small office area where we keep the books. We try to stay busy and make sure the orders are ready when people come to pick them up. It’s simple work, really, just making sure people get what they need for their houses.
