Gandhamardan Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Nuapali. We are located at Plot No. 227/688, Mouza-Nuapali, over at Rina Meher’s place. It’s a simple setup we have here under Khata No. 57/46. Being in a place like S. Nuapali, our lives mostly revolve around the seasons and what the ground gives us. We decided to form this company because we realized that farmers need to stick together to get things done right. It isn’t always smooth sailing. There are days when the rain doesn't come or the seeds don't take like they should, but that is just farming. We aren't trying to be some big corporation. We are just neighbors working on the same goals. You won't find any shiny signs or lobbies here. It is more about muddy boots and hard work. We spend a lot of time talking about prices and how to move our produce without losing too much money. It’s a lot of learning as we go. Some of us have been farming for decades, while others are newer to it. But we all share the same space in Nuapali. If you are passing through, you might see us gathered, probably talking about the latest crop or the equipment we need to fix. That is just how life is for us here. We keep it simple and focus on the work at hand. To be honest, we are just trying to make it work as a team.
