Seth Iron Yard

Seth Iron Yard is located right next to the Union Bank on Sabji Mandi Road in the Chawni area. It’s a very busy part of town because of the vegetable market. There’s always people shouting, trucks moving, and a lot of energy. Our yard is filled with iron, as the name suggests. It’s heavy work, and things can get pretty dirty around here. We don't have a polished showroom. Most of our day is spent moving pieces of metal around and making sure the inventory is somewhat in order. It’s loud and it’s hard on the back, but it’s what we’ve always done. We deal with a lot of different people, from local builders to guys just looking for a specific scrap piece. We don't have a big philosophy or anything. We just sell iron. The traffic on Sabji Mandi Road can be a nightmare sometimes, especially in the mornings when the market is in full swing. We just work around it. Being next to the bank makes us easy to find, at least. We’ve been in Chawni for years, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. It’s a simple business. We open up, we move some iron, and we close up when the sun goes down. It’s not a glamorous life, but it is an honest way to make a living.
