Food Delivery In Train At Jhansi Station

Our work is all based around the Jhansi railway station. It’s a different kind of business because we don't have a dining room where people sit down. We spend our whole day watching the train schedules. When a train is coming into Jhansi, we have to be ready with the orders. It’s a lot of running around and making sure we get to the right platform and the right coach before the train pulls out again. Jhansi is a major junction, so there are always trains arriving at all hours. We don't get much sleep sometimes. Our kitchen is located close to the station so we can move fast. It’s not a pretty place, just a functional kitchen with lots of packing supplies and a big clock on the wall. We don't have time for fancy plating because everything goes into boxes. Sometimes the trains are late, and we have to wait around. Other times they arrive early and it’s a total scramble. We don't use any high-tech systems, just some phones and a lot of shouting to make sure everyone knows which order goes where. It’s stressful work, but it keeps us on our toes. We've been doing this long enough that we know the layout of the station like the back of our hands. We aren't a big company, just a group of guys trying to make the deliveries on time. It's a hard way to earn a living, but seeing the passengers get their food makes it worth it.
