Awadh Food

Awadh Food is tucked away in Sadar Bazar in Jhansi. We’ve been here for a good bit of time, right near the State Bank. It’s a busy part of town so there’s always something happening outside the door. We aren't a big fancy place with waiters in suits or anything like that. It’s just a kitchen where we make food every day for whoever walks in. Sometimes the bank gets crowded and people come over here while they wait. We try to keep things simple. The menu hasn't changed much because we like the way things are. Jhansi Sadar Bazar can be a bit loud with all the traffic but once you're inside, it's just about the food. We don't spend money on decorations. The walls are plain and the benches are old but they work fine. We open up early and stay till we run out of stuff. It’s a small operation, just a few of us in the back. We know most of the people who come in by name since they work in the shops nearby. If you are looking for the State Bank of India branch here, you will probably see us. We’re just local people cooking for other local people. It’s nothing special, just honest work and basic meals. We don’t have a website or anything, just this spot in the bazaar where we’ve always been. We keep the counters clean and the water jars filled.
