Krishna Bhagwan Jhabua Adiwasi Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited is a group of women farmers from around the Karvad area. We work closely with the Prabhari Gramin Aajivika Mission office there. Jhabua is our home, and we’re proud of the Adiwasi traditions we have here. This company was started so that the women in our community could have more of a say in how our crops are sold and how the money is handled. We aren't business experts from some big city; we are people who have spent our lives working the soil in Karvad. Our meetings are usually held in a shared space where we can bring our kids if we need to. It gets a bit loud and chaotic sometimes, but we get the work done. We talk about everything from the health of the goats to the price of the corn we’re growing. It’s a practical way for us to support each other and make sure our families are taken care of. Being part of the Gramin Aajivika Mission helps us stay organized and gives us a place to meet. We don't use a lot of fancy words or have big goals of becoming a global corporation. We just want to make life a little better for the women in our village and show that we can run a successful business together. It’s about honesty and working hard for each other, which is what we’ve always done.
