Balco,Vedanta Resources Plc.

Being over at B-417 in Section-1 of the Balco Township means you’re right in the middle of everything. It’s a bit different from the other parts of Korba because everything feels like its own little world here. You wake up and the first thing you hear is the hum of the plant which basically never stops. We handle things for Vedanta Resources Plc and it’s a lot of back and forth with the guys on the floor. The office isn’t much to look at but we have everything we need right here in this part of the township. People often get lost trying to find the right sector because the layout can be a bit confusing if you aren’t from around here. We usually just tell them to look for the landmark buildings near the main gates. The Pin code 495684 covers a lot of ground so being specific with the house number really helps. It gets incredibly hot inside the rooms during May so we try to get most of our heavy lifting done early in the morning. By the time the sun is high we’re usually just sitting at the desks catching up on whatever needs doing for the day. It is a simple life really, just making sure the operations keep running without too much trouble from our end of the building. We’ve got some old furniture and a lot of files but it works for us and the crew.
