Ulai Jhajha Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our company, Ulai Jhajha Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited, is set up in Village Dhapri. We are in the Barajor post office area and under the Jhajha police station. Rohit Kumar helps us out with the space here. We are a group of women from the village and nearby who are trying to manage our farming together. It’s not always easy balancing the farm work with the company stuff, but we do our best. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It's just a room where we gather to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and where we are going to sell our produce. We mostly focus on what’s growing in the fields around Dhapri. Sometimes we have to travel a bit into Jhajha to get things sorted with the authorities or to pick up supplies. It’s very much a grassroots thing. We are just learning as we go. There are no fancy titles or big egos here; we are all just neighbors. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the grain or whatever else we’ve harvested. It’s a practical way to make sure the women in our community are getting a fair shake. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We’re just local farmers working hard to keep things going and making sure our families are taken care of through the company.
