Jamui Dangi Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Guguldih. Ravindra Mandal helps keep things organized at his place in the village. We are a group of farmers who live and work in the Panch Purbi Guguldih area. Around here, everyone knows everyone else, so forming this company felt like the natural thing to do for all of us. We aren't trying to be some big corporation with polished offices. We just want to pool our resources and help each other get through the long harvest season. Farming is tough, and doing it alone is even tougher. We share what we know about the crops and try to find better ways to sell them without getting cheated. Most days you will find us out in the fields, not in an office building. It is a humble operation we have going. We don’t have fancy signs or a big website to show off. We just focus on the day-to-day work of growing things. Sometimes the rains don't come when they should, or the market prices drop, and that’s when being part of a group really helps. We talk about what seeds are working and how to handle the pests that ruin the crops. It’s a local effort by people who actually live here. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of. It’s hard work, but it is what we know how to do.
