S.Santhanam Iyangaar

My name is Santhanam and we run S.Santhanam Iyangaar over on Guru Swami Path. It’s tucked away in Bhatiya Bustee in Kadma. We’ve been here for quite a while now, and we don't plan on moving. People mostly know us for the traditional items we make in our kitchen. We aren’t a big restaurant or anything corporate like that. It’s just a small operation. We spend most of our time in the back preparing things for the day. Kadma is a quiet enough place overall, but Bhatiya Bustee stays active most of the time. We get a lot of regulars who live just down the street from us. We do catering for small functions if people come and ask us. We don’t really do any advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people to Guru Swami Path to find us. The recipes we use are what my family has always used. We don't change things up just for the sake of it. If you are looking for us, just ask someone in Kadma where the Iyangaar place is and they will point you here. We might be busy with a big order, so sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped. We keep everything simple. There’s no big sign or anything flashy. Just the food and us working. We wake up early to get everything started before the sun gets too hot.
