Mandap & Caterers

You can find us at E/3 in Ramdas Bhatta, which is in the Contractors Area of Bistupur. We are right near the Gujrati Sanatan Samaj, so it’s a landmark everyone around here knows. Our work is split between setting up the mandaps and handling the food for various events. The storage area is always cluttered with decorative cloth, wooden frames, and big cooking utensils. Bistupur is a busy area, so there is always a lot of noise and movement around our place. We spend half our time loading trucks and the other half standing over big fires in the kitchen. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean or sit in an air-conditioned room. We are usually covered in sweat or dust by mid-afternoon. We don't have a big sales pitch or a professional website. Most of our work comes from people in the community who see us working at other weddings or events. The mandap poles are heavy and the drapes can be tricky to get straight, but we’ve been doing it long enough to manage. Sometimes we have to work through the night to get everything ready for a morning ceremony. It’s just how the catering and mandap business goes. We stay busy, we work hard with our hands, and we try to make sure everything is in place before the guests start arriving at the venue. It is a long day every time we have a booking.
