The Pitroda Tool Works

The Pitroda Tool Works is tucked away in Mochi Bazar. If you go past Keshri Pul and look opposite the Garden Bedinaka, you will find us at Gordhan Ghar. This part of town has been around for ages, and our shop feels a bit like that too. We work with tools and metal, so there is always a bit of banging and grinding going on. It’s a narrow area, and the streets are always crowded with people and carts, which makes getting materials in and out a bit of a challenge sometimes. We’ve been at this for a long time, and the tools we use have seen better days, but they still work exactly like they should. We don't have a big fancy sign or a glass front. It’s more of a place where you walk in and see people actually working with their hands. There’s a lot of history in this neighborhood, and we feel like a small part of it. We take on jobs that come our way, whether it's fixing something old or making a new tool from scratch. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we know how to do. The air usually smells like hot metal, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. But it's our place, and we’re here every day, even when the rain makes the bazar roads muddy. We just keep our heads down and get the work finished.
