Reliance Engineering Associates Ltd

Our office is in Flat-4B of the Meenaar Apartment in Jalpaiguri. It’s a quiet spot in West Bengal compared to some of the bigger cities. Being in an apartment means we have a kitchen and a bathroom right there, which makes those long workdays a bit easier. Reliance Engineering Associates Ltd has been running out of this flat for some time now. We have desks set up in the main room and shelves full of binders and reference books. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and some trees. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of place. We don’t have any big corporate branding on the walls, just some maps and a clock that’s usually a few minutes fast. When it rains, which it does a lot here, you can hear it hitting the window panes quite loudly. We usually have the radio on low in the background while we work on our calculations. It’s not a fancy setup, but it’s comfortable and it works for us. Most of our day is spent typing away or talking to people on the phone. We don't get many walk-in visitors, but when we do, they usually just sit on the sofa while we finish up. It’s an honest, simple operation where we just focus on the engineering side of things and keep our paperwork in order. We’ve got a lot of files to get through most weeks.
